Book Review

The Indiana Military Museum nor any of its volunteers or officers receive any monetary benfit from the sale of  the  book  HAZARDOUS DUTY written by Major General John K. Singlaub, US Army (Ret.) (an Honorary member of our Board of directors) with Malcom McConnell. With this understood we recommend any one who has an interest in American history or world events from WW II to the present read this book.  It is an essential source to achieve a better understanding of the Allied pre D-Day operations in France, post war operations in pre communist China, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the Cold War and what was current events to those of us who read the newspapers in the 1960', 70's and 80's.  It sheds light on both the Carter Administration and the Iran Contra Affiar.  It describes the 1975 effect of the Congress  defunding the South Vietnam government from any military aid; and the 1984 defunding of military aid to the political and para military forces opposed to Communist expansion, funded by the Soviet Union, in Nicaragua and El Salvador.  This book can be purchased by going to General Singlaub's web site.

We highly recomend it. It costs about $25.00. He has his own opinions and view points from one who was there. It's a good book.
