Future Expansion
Our military history is vast and growing… and the Indiana Military Museum is growing with it. We have undertaken a phased expansion plan to realize our vision of building a new, expanded museum that is worthy of the history it represents.
The new museum will provide a meaningful educational experience for tourists, teachers, students, and all those interested in U.S. military history. With your help, we can become the best U.S. military history museum in the midwest, and honor all those who have served. Read more about the project below.

PHASE I: Site Acquisition
In 2013, the Indiana Military Museum moved to our new location on 6th Street. The acquisition of this site—14 acres located adjacent to the Vincennes/Knox County Convention & Visitors Bureau—completed Phase I of our expansion efforts.
PHASE II: Site Improvements and Renovation
Our new site includes a brick building and a large warehouse space. Both buildings are in need of significant renovations, including roofing and masonry work, to make them suitable for artifact storage and restoration. The total cost for both buildings, along with some parking lot and fencing improvements, is $350,000.
Please consider a financial donation today. Every contribution counts.
PHASE III: New Museum Design and Construction
In Phase III, we will design and build the new museum’s home, pictured in the rendering above. The current buildings will be repurposed to serve as special exhibit facilities.
